So you're thinking: "Rapture. Right. End of the world, everyone dies, goes to whatever spiritual world they believe in."
Exactly! What DO you believe?
"I don't want to read about your silly end-of-the-world fantasies..."
Then don't. I can't make you believe me. Only He can.
Imagine this...
_______
We're gone.
All you know is your clock says 3:06 am, and all you can hear is screaming.
It's painful wailing that can't be blocked out. It uses all it's strength calling for death. Women and men alike- screaming.
There is no one listening to you anymore. Earth is barren. An unearthly light wanders in your window, frantic people are sprinting across your yard when you look out your window. Bloody or crying faces, horror stricken and desperate.
A normally peaceful neighborhood is covered with upside-down cars and shattered glass. You never knew how much blood there was in the world until now. Search your house. Your relatives are left with you.
---
Outside is too dangerous, they say. Outside is where so many disappeared, are gone from earth. They worry you'll go, too.
They don't know what happened, nor do you. TV's out. Phone's out. Computer, cell phones, everything. No communication whatsoever. Panic is all that's left.
You pull the covers around you, scared as everyone else. You close your eyes, try to block out the sobbing so clear through your window. 'It's a dream. A nightmare.'
Your hands twitch, emotion seeps through any space it can, filling any room with dread. So much emotion, yet you're so alone. You're nothing. Empty. You don't eat.
-----
Crime is at it's highest. No one is above stealing, killing now. No one leaves their house anymore. No one knows if the sun still exists. No light comes through. But the sun must exist- it's hot. Steaming. Sweat runs down your face while you try to not throw up on the first meal you've had in days.
Your family doesn't talk. You don't either. No one knows what to say, no one knows anything.
Mom cries. She only has you and dad, her mother and father are gone, she knows. They left all three of you.
-----
Not knowing is a scary thing. An old radio is dusty and covered in a thin tacky green coat. Dad works on it for hours. A news reporter finally revieles the disappearances of millions. Bodies are gone. Drivers plucked off the earth by what? Theories come up- alien invaders? It's better than the alternative. The nutcases families thought up, right?
Suicide has been reported as insanely popular. People woke up with their families gone. No cars left the house, no one left. No one left to live for.
Hospitals are shut down. 'Too many missing doctors, nurses, their families...' they say.
How could this happen? Somehow you know. Your friends told you. They hoped for you to see something you thought was irrational. They prayed for you. Whatever that would do.
7 years tribulation. That's all you have. 'Get to their houses' you think. 'That's where the answer is.'
----
You leave your Mom and Dad a note. 'Going to (Insert name here's) house. I'm safe. Be back ASAP.'
And off you go.
A bible. Right? Revelation? The Omega, end of the world whatever?
Find it. It's on her dresser, waiting for you. She's gone. Of course she is.
Flip the pages to the back- end of the world. A little note is left.
'You have 7 years. Don't waste it. No one on earth is God, Jesus, anything related. Don't believe them. You can't focus on just this chapter- Find somewhere safe and focus on God, not the situation. We're waiting for you! Love- insert name here'

It's like they knew it would happen. They were ready.
Is that enough proof for you?
Tears trickle down your face, a firetruck races behind her house. No one in her family is left. They're safe.
You miss her. 'Find somewhere safe' meaning it won't be safe? And someone'll be impersonating God? Don't focus on this chapter?
You're lost. But..maybe this little book has the answer.

o-o erm, wow, this is mildly intriguing. Will it be continuing?
:iconcrystal-blades:
Oooh... are u christian? Coz it sounds like the Christian version of the end of the world... But it's real nice, what gave u the initiative to write this?

It is, a Christian perspective. Since I am. :) Uhm...I just thought about it a lot. Wrote it for a friend I hadn't talked to in a long time. I thought they'd like it.

It is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered
It keeps no record of wrongs
Love never fails."

Nope. No continuation I don't think. Unless I learn something I didn't know before. <3

Haha, am christian too, and I believe this stuff. You know... the christian perspective is much scarier than what the rest of the world believes in... I just hope I get accepted before having to go through the 7 years or 3.5 years...

Heh- no kidding. :) I'm praying for my friends, whether they like it or not. Sadly some of them don't like it...

Yeah same here, some of them will just be like, urgh you are sick, and think that we think they're evil or something, if that makes sense, xD. It's real hard to get people to actually get people to believe in this stuff, the truth being... slightly bizarre isn't helping either lolz
